New ReFINE Research Published by Clancy et al., Durham University

The latest research paper by ReFINE has been published today. The paper identifies for the first time the capacity of the land above the Bowland Shale for potential shale gas wells and the impact this could have on the probable amount of gas that could be extracted.

The paper, led by Sarah Clancy and published in the journal Science of the Total Environment, concluded that an average of 26% of the shale gas reserve in the Bowland Basin may be recoverable.
